UNEMPLOYED man Phillip Watson has advised reporters “Smash Ultimate sucks”.

“It’s just a port of Trash 4, there’s input lag and it’s got the same Trash ledge mechanics. Melee is still the better Smash.” Watson said of the critically acclaimed new addition to the popular franchise, Super Smash Bros.

“I can’t believe people pay for that garbage.” advised Watson, who owns no gaming equipment other than a GameCube controller, an off-brand Wii U GC-adapter and a 10 year-old Core 2 Duo laptop that can run Dolphin.

Watson, who has not played the game or physically seen a Switch console, continued “If I had the opportunity to play it, I would probably say no, because I’ve seen how terrible it is on YouTube already.”

“There’s a lot of people who agree with me, I think you’ll find.” said Watson, who routinely posts his strongly formed opinions about the game on his Facebook page.

At press time, Philip Watson was reported to be preparing for a morning Melee Netplay session by cooking a bowl of 2-minute noodles and rebooting his ADSL modem.
